From International Airport to Taipei City

    There are many Shuttle Bus Companies provide the travel services between Taiwan TaoYuan International Airport and Taipei City.  You can find the bus stations in the terminal 1 and terminal 2.  The ticket price is about NTD125 to NTD145.

    Taxi is another kind of transportation.  But it is more expensive, it is about NTD800 to NTD1200.  You can find the Taxi station in the front of Terminals Gate.

From International Airport to Tamsui Town

    Taxi is the only one way from Taiwan TaoYuan International Airport to Tamsui.  It is about NTD1000 to NTD1500.

From Taipei City to Tamsui Town

    Taipei MRT is the convenient transportation between Taipei to Tamsui.  Tamsui is located on the end stop of MRT red line.  Please refer the route map of Taipei MRT as follow.  Due to the red line and orange line are overlapped on many stations, please notice the final station shown on the train. The final stop of orange line is Beitou.  If you get on the train of orange line, you need to transfer train in the Beitou station.  The ticket price of MRT from Taipei to Tamsui is NTD55.

    Taipei MRT Company provides the prepaid card service.  The remaining account can be refunded when you return the prepaid card.  You can save 20% in your each transportation of MRT.  You get also discount when you move from MRT to City Bus, and reversed.

From Tamsui MRT station to Tamkang University

    The conference venue is located in the Tamsui campus of Tamkang University.  Tamkang University is located on the hill of Tamsui.  It needs about 30minutes - 40minutes from station to campus, and 20minutes - 30minutes from campus to station by walk. 

ICS2008 will provide regularly shuttle bus between Tamsui station and Tamkang University.  Please notice the Tag of ICS2008 shown on the shuttle bus.  Don’t take on the shuttle bus for Tamkang faculties.  It will make inconvenient to other faculties of Tamkang, we appreciate your pay attentions.  The schedule of ICS2008 shuttle bus will be announced on the final program.

There are city bus services from station to campus, which will mark the destination with Tamkang University(淡江大學), the ticket price is NTD15.  One of the City bus, R27, is quite convenient to access Tamkang University from Tamsui MRT station.  Please prepare coins or use MRT prepaid card.

Another way to Tamkang is Taxi, it is about NTD130 from station to campus.
